What to do next in your search for property for sale in Almeria, Spain
OK, so you have worked out what you are looking for, understand the essentials, and have seen a couple of properties that take your fancy. What next?
Quite simply, you need to get yourself out here. We can (and do) rave about what a wonderful place this is until the cows come home, have had a cup of cocoa, put on their jim jams and tucked themselves up snug in bed. But you won’t know for sure if this is the place for you until you have come out and had a look.
Many of the large commercial estate agents will offer you subsidised or all expenses paid viewing trips. I am afraid that goes against the grain for us as we believe that you should come out without any undue pressure - so your trip out will have to be at your own cost. If you need assistance in finding flights and accommodation then we are more than happy to help.
We would like the opportunity to spend at least three full days (not including Sundays) with you exclusively as we find that it will take at least one day for both us and you to get a good feel for what you want, and a further 1-2 days to have a good look around the area, soak up the ambience, and narrow down exactly what you are looking for both in terms of location and type of property. If needs be, we will call on the services of other agents if we don’t have the property ourselves, saving you the time and effort of starting from scratch with someone new. That said, we have no problem if you are seeing a range of agents as long as you tell us who they are so that we don’t double up on properties and waste your time. Either way, we are here to help you and certainly won’t be nannying you or insisting that you are never out of our sight.
Please remember that Almeria is a large place (about half the size of Wales), so unless you have narrowed your search down to a specific area, you should expect to spend quite a lot of time driving between properties. If we are looking in rural locations then we can normally squeeze in about 5 properties a day whilst also giving you a good look around the area. If we are looking in urban areas, then we will be able to manage a few more.
One quick word on children. Property hunting can be very tiring and, for young children, extremely dull. If you do have young kids, then we recommend that you either make arrangements so that you can come out without them, or you allow more time out here so that you can do your hunting in bite size chunks.
Hope to see you soon.
